fe-dohc header question

Postby NeptunE on Wed Mar 10, 2010 2:25 am

ive been looking and it seems the kia fe-dohc had a cast iron exhaust mani like most stock cars, but i got a nice looking header with mine and i cant seem to find another sportage with the same one, or even any after market parts for a sportage at all.. is this stock or aftermarket, it definitely looks stock to me but like i said ive only been able to find pics of cast iron manis... did i get lucky and find that 1 in a million aftermarket header? lol

photobucket is down pics will be up asap

just found a vid on youtube with the same mani... why cant i find a pic of it ARGHHH

thats what i would do. al the descriptions from the catalog say it looks like the stock cast iron had a 02 just before the warm up cat . if yours is down lower then its def aftermarket of somekind

looks like a header set I fabbed up once, fer a 305, its not a big deal to accomodate any heatsheilds etc.
Just pride in quality of fit and finish and done with the right tooling, nice find, when somebody already did it for ya, and did a good job too.
when I do a turbo fe3 I gotta build my own I'll do a special write up on it highly detailed so others can copy it.
If anyone is interested anyway.

haha
I have selective add esp when the wife is talkin, lol
I have to rely on pure research at this point, I have never seen one in person , and you have a wealth of parts there. I wanna do it once and do it right, I am wantin a turbo monster!!
Waaay beter than a v8 swap, esp tryin to fit 20,'s and narrow the frame, I can use my engine to mock up at least for now.
Jaqy Bs dyno'd at like 500 plus HP at 26 pounds, his header was glowing!!!

Oh I will prolly build a custom intake too.
