its not bad it just takes so long and i'm kinda impatient. that and i get really crazy about details and wanting perfection so it makes the whole process a little longer.

so i went over to a friends house earlier this week to help him pull the motor out of his 510 and i ended up dropping the front of my truck a few inches. it looks sweet but my tires were too big and were rubbing the fenders pretty bad so i got some smaller ones and now i want to go a little lower. so my question is how do you reindex torsion bars and how exactly to you remove leaves? i saw some rivets on the leaf springs do i need to cut those off and they will come apart or is there another way of doing it? any help is great. thanks guys.

i had 205/75 r14 on it up until yesterday but the side walls were too fat and they were a little too big so i bought some 195/70 r14 that are shorter and they have skinnier sidewalls so i'm not rubbing as bad as i was before. i also took the plastic inner fenders out so the tires dont hit that anymore either.

i was looking at some 185/65/14s nut they look super small and really goofy. i'm fine with these tires. they look pretty good and i just need to take corners and bumps slow so my fenders dont rub but whatever its not a big deal. i'm trying to find someone with a fender roller cause they baseball bat just isnt cutting it.

so i finally got a chance to do something with the truck today. i pulled 2 leafs out of my leaf springs and i took my 4" blocks out and replaced them with 2.5" blocks. the whole time i was putting the new blocks in i had my dad standing there telling me that they were wimpy blocks. before he sold his Isuzu pup he pulled the 2" blocks and put 4" ones on so he kept telling me that i should have just kept the 4" blocks. whatever he's just a crazy old man. now that the smaller blocks are on i was able to put the smaller tires on the rear. this thing looks so good now. after i took it off the jack stands my dads jaw dropped. it was awesome i lowered the jack and it just kept getting lower and lower. it was great. now it finally looks like a real lowered truck. the highest point of the frame is about 5" off the ground and the front cross member is only 3". its super sweet.enough of me talking here are some pics.

this is before i cranked the torsion bars.

this is after

this is right after i put the new spindles on and the 4" blocks

and this is how it sits now with the new tires and everything.

it looks much better.
